Electric Island Kitchen
This extraordinary kitchen suite incorporates a range of highly distinctive and unique features. With the guiding design brief being a desire to make it all disappear, the central electric island bench can magically transform. At the touch of a button the large electrically controlled stone top rolls completely away to reveal a stainless steel sink with pop-up faucet and premium induction cook-top.
Red Heart Gum cabinets
The striking natural timber veneer used across the main cabinet face is Red Heart Gum from eastern Australia. The bold figure of the timber is expertly book-matched across the full five meter span and eight doors of the main cabinet, hiding a pantry, separate fridge and freezer units, oven-microwave combo, and a pair of butler’s niches. Keeping the entire design clean, open cabinet doors slide away into concealed pockets.
The butler’s niches are fitted with stainless steel benches and soft touch Ebony drawers, and all cabinet interiors are illuminated with sensor operated LED lighting. The upper display niches and details such as custom inset door handles and edge work are all in solid Maple. Dark Macassar Ebony frames the paler cabinets creating an overall floating effect.
The electric island
The 3 x 1.3 metre electric island bench is fully clad in Neolith stone, with its precision engineered mechanism featuring three heavy duty linear bearings to carry the heavy slab top as it rolls. Facing the living area the island features a beautiful carved wave-form panel in solid Maple surrounded by Ebony framing, with its own concealed lighting. Red Heart Gum timber continues across the functional side of the island with drawers, cupboards and dishwasher installed.
