Piano Studio Screens

Pianobase provide intimate music tuition from their home studios in the Perth suburbs.  We were asked to create a set of sliding screens to partition off a new learning space in the front area of the building.

The baby grand piano is the focus of the room so its gloss black finish was continued through the Bamboo dyptich screens.  To create the Japanese Shoji effect, each screen in the pair consists of two laminated gloss black acrylic sheets, with a translucent green voile fabric captured between.  Drawn screens afford visual privacy while creating a beautiful stained glass effect between the outside entry hall and the studio space.

With the lightest of touch the two screens glide effortlessly away behind the piano on precision top hung rollers.
